Description
Harland & Wolff is a shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It specializes in ship repair, conversion and offshore construction. Harland & Wolff is famous for having built the majority of the ocean liners for the White Star Line, including Olympic-class trio – RMS Titanic, RMS Olympic, and HMHS Britannic
The cranes are situated in the Harland & Wolff shipyard on the east side of Belfast Lough. They were constructed by the German engineering firm Krupp, with Goliath being completed in 1969 and Samson in 1974. Goliath stands 96 meters (315 ft) tall, while Samson is taller at 106 meters (348 ft).
